AB - The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial distribution of the welfare facilities for the aged in Incheon. This study analyzed accessibility of the welfare facilities for the aged in Incheon. Based on GIS network analysis, this study identifies the service areas of the welfare facilities for the aged. Prior to network analysis, the welfare facilities for the aged are classified into three groups considering of walking range of the aged. After the classification, this study conducts network analysis to determine service area of the welfare facilities for the aged. The distribution of the welfare facilities for the aged in Incheon implies that most facilities have unbalanced distribution among inner cities. And there is no location standard about the welfare facilities, while the facilities are distributed based on the character of the operating welfare facilities. The areas with inadequate supply of the welfare facilities are drawn by the density of users. These blind spots should be considered above all in supplying the welfare facilities for the aged.
