ABSTRACT

Environmental management, social responsibility, and governance (ESG) management are important paradigms for corporate sustainability. Effective ESG management boosts an organizational competitiveness and enable its sustainable growth. This study validates the relationship among corporate ESG management, corporate image, and corporate sustainability by investigating the mediating influence of corporate image and the moderating role of green innovation. The results suggest that ESG management positively affect corporate image, and that corporate image positively affects corporate sustainability. However, green innovation has a negative moderating effect on corporate image and corporate sustainability. The result suggests that companies need to value ESG management, which can have positive effects on long-term corporate growth. Additionally, companies need more applicable options and complements when implementing innovative green management. This study enriches the theoretical background on corporate ESG management and corporate sustainability. The results also provide useful information on green innovation in corporate green management.
