ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study is to develop a curriculum of school librarians using a job analysis. A job analysis is used to reform the educational programs and to develop new ones. For the analysis Verification method and New Analysis method is applied. In the knowledge society, school librarians of ability can follow up the revolution of educational paradigm and catch up the needs of library service area. Current curriculums of library and information science departments in Korean universities want supplements of new ones to foster competent librarians. As the results of analysis are the followings ; The Management of Libraries, Operation of A School libray, Children and Young Adults Materials, Collection Development, The Organization of Information Materials, Library Automation, Reading Guidance, Management of Resources for the Curriculum, Educational Methods Cooperating with librarians, How to Use School Library, Reference Materials, Information Retrieval, Resources on The Internet, Bibliography, Library Media Program, Digital Library
