AB - The purpose of this study is to investigate MARC AMC that is using currently in archives and record repositories, national networks as OCLC·RLIN·WLN·etc., and the NUCMC of Library of Congress. In this study, therefore, the characteristics of archives and archival description and the establishment backgrounds and peculiarities of MARC AMC are examined as the backgrounds. Then the structure and data elements of USMARC AMC are analyzed. And the needs and directions of KORMARC AMC are presented.
