AB - This study campares and analyzes the cataloging rules of the mo nographic publications included inthe 4th edition of the Korean Cataloging Rules(KCR) & the lst r evision of the 3rd edition of the KCR.Especially it focuses on the different rules applied for the sa me specified areas, such as Title & Statementof Responsibility Area, Edition Area, Material Specific Details Area, Publication, Distribution, Etc., Area,etc. As a result, this analysis can be useful for cataloging mo nographic publications and so that the KCR4will remain a viable standard for bibliographic description and ac ess into the future.
