AB - This study designed a suitable preservation metadata for archives of Korean traditional arts. To accomplish this task, we consulted OAIS reference model and PREMIS data dictionary, analyzed various preservation metadata, and surveyed resource characteristics of Korean traditional arts. We adopted elements with namespaces, honored original definitions and scopes by not violating principles of designing application profiles, and extended elements where necessary.
