AB - This study is to develop an instructional model for expanding reading debate topic. Also, effects on reading attitude and self-directed learning are identified in this study. The instructional model is implemented for target students, elementary school students. This model was evaluated by a pre-test and a post-test, targeting on students in fourth grade. As a result, this model is effective on developing reading habits and establishing self-directed attitude.
