ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze Chinese international students’ perceptions of university library service quality and to identify priorities for service improvement. A survey was reconstructed based on the LibQUAL+ model, and analyses were conducted using the Kano model, Timko’s coefficients, and the Potential Customer Satisfaction Improvement(PCSI) index. The results showed that most service attributes were classified as indifferent quality; however, the Timko and PCSI analyses identified ‘diversity of online services’, ‘convenience of online services’, ‘sufficiency of printed materials’ and ‘spaces for individual research and study’. This suggests that university libraries need to advance qualitative improvements in online services, information resource accessibility, and the quality of individual study spaces. This study holds significance in systematically proposing priorities for improving university library service quality and providing a basis for establishing tailored library service strategies for international students.
