ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: This study aimed to develop an inte- rprofessional education (IPE) program for nursing and health-related students and evaluate its effectiveness. The findings will provide foundational data for developing IPE programs for various students. METHODS: The participants were 30 undergraduate health-related (nursing, physical therapy, and radiology) students, from September 1 to September 30, 2024. This study used a quasi-experimental method and instruments to measure the readiness for interprofessional learning and interprofessional attitudes. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired t-test. RESULTS: After completing the IPE program, the students’ readiness for interprofessional learning (t = -8.910, p < .001) and interprofessional attitude (t = -3.776, p < .001) were significantly higher than before the program. CONCLUSION: This study suggests that the IPE program for nursing and health-related students effectively increases their readiness for interprofessional learning and inter- professional attitude. Hence, developing and implementing IPE programs with various contents and methods is important.
