AB - This paper aims to attempt the philosophical counseling approach of condolences that helps families of suicide victims face and live with the loss of their loved one. This is because if the families of the victims do not go through a proper process of mourning, they will not only have trouble facing reality but will also likely distort reality by suppressing sadness with silence. Starting with this problem, this paper seeks to explore the possibility of philosophical counseling in which families of the victmins of suicide can embrace their wounds. The philosophical consultation of mourning is the work of the client reconstructing the disordered memory of the past into a meaningful order through reproducing the experience of memory in language. Through this, one can restore the relationship with their world that has been shattered by suicide of their loved one and also with oneself, which has been stained by guilt and shame. For this purpose, this paper will first acquire the philosophical understanding of mourning, examine how the sadness of the victim’s families relates to their memory, and although not complete, attempt to help the families left behind to form a new relationship with the world by letting go of the pain of separation and loss.
