ABSTRACT

This paper aims to predict the aspects and the meanings of representations of sexuality in the era of technology. This paper also examines the conditions in which women would become subjects in the posthumanism’s envisioning of the future. Despite posthumanism’s optimism, current gender problem will last and femininity will continuously be consumed by society. Contemporary gender binary will remain in women, robots or any kinds of companion species, and will keep them identified as the Other. Replicating masculinity or being neutralized dosen’t help women overcome their status as the Other. Given these diagnoses, via Braidotti who endorses “differences”, this paper attempts to find out ‘posthuman-women’ are at an advantageous position to become subjects in the future and to confirm their subjectivity is nomadic subject.
