Article 1 (Composition of the Review Committee)
The review of manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of K-Culture (K-Culture Convergence Research) shall be administered by the Editorial Board.
The Editorial Board shall select and appoint reviewers for submitted manuscripts through an editorial meeting and compile the reviewers’ evaluations.
The Editorial Board shall convene two rounds of meetings for this purpose.
Considering that some editorial board members reside abroad or in regional areas, online editorial meetings may be held when necessary.
The Editorial Board shall determine acceptance or rejection of submitted manuscripts according to the following procedures:
The Editorial Board shall request reviews from three experts whose academic specialties are relevant to the subject of the submitted manuscript.
Each reviewer shall render one of the following decisions and submit a written evaluation to the Editorial Board:
“Accept,” “Accept with Revisions,” “Revise and Resubmit,” or “Reject.”
Manuscripts that do not receive a decision of “Revise and Resubmit” or “Reject” shall be accepted for publication.
Manuscripts that receive “Accept” decisions from two or more reviewers shall be accepted for publication.
Manuscripts that receive “Reject” decisions from two or more reviewers shall not be published.
All other cases shall be determined in accordance with the regulations established by the Society.
For manuscripts judged as “Accept with Revisions,” the required revisions shall be communicated to the author(s).
Publication shall be decided only after the revisions have been satisfactorily completed.
If additional time is required for revision, publication may be deferred to a subsequent issue.
For manuscripts judged as “Revise and Resubmit,” the required revisions shall be communicated to the author(s).
Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted and shall undergo re-review to determine publication eligibility.
If additional time is required, publication may be postponed to a subsequent issue.
Manuscripts that are finally rejected may not be resubmitted.
Topics for special issue manuscripts shall be planned by the Society’s executive board, and manuscripts shall be solicited from qualified experts in the relevant fields.
Final decisions regarding publication shall be made following deliberation by the Editorial Board.
The Editorial Board shall render one of the following decisions for special issue manuscripts:
“Accept,” “Accept with Revisions,” “Revise and Resubmit,” or “Reject,” and submit written evaluations.
Special issue manuscripts judged as “Reject” shall not be published and may not be resubmitted to the journal under any circumstances.
All authority concerning special issue manuscripts shall be vested in the Editor-in-Chief.
The review evaluation form for the International Journal of K-Culture shall follow Appendix Form 1.
All rights, interests, copyrights, and digital copyrights arising from the publication of general and special issue manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of K-Culture shall be transferred to the Society.
In addition, authors must submit a written agreement affirming the following at the time of submission (see Appendix Form 2):
The author(s) affirm that the manuscript does not infringe upon the copyrights of any other works.
The author(s) affirm that they have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript preparation and bear full responsibility for its contents.
The author(s) affirm that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication by another journal, nor will it be submitted elsewhere.
The author(s) agree to transfer all rights, interests, copyrights, and digital copyrights related to the publication of the manuscript to the Society.
