The International Journal of K-Culture, published by the K-Culture Convergence Society, is dedicated to research in Korean Studies, Korean culture, and related interdisciplinary fields.
Members of the Society are expected to uphold academic integrity, social responsibility, and ethical research standards, contributing to the advancement of Korean Studies.
1. Responsibilities of Members: Members shall conduct honest and fair research, prevent plagiarism and fabrication, respect academic dignity, and share research outcomes as public academic assets within permitted regulations.
2. Research Ethics Committee: A Research Ethics Committee is established to review and deliberate matters related to research ethics violations.
3. Review and Procedures: The Committee examines alleged ethical violations through fair and confidential procedures, may request materials or interviews, and guarantees the researcher’s right to explanation.
4. Ethical Violations: Violations include plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, misuse of research funds, misconduct damaging academic integrity, and other serious ethical breaches.
5. Disciplinary Actions: Sanctions may include article retraction, suspension of submission rights, public apology, reprimand, or expulsion from the Society.
6. Reporting and Enforcement: Review results are reported to the Board of Directors, and decisions are implemented accordingly.
These regulations take effect upon approval by the Board.
