AB - Atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) exists as a gas at standard temperature and pressure, and it occurs in Earth’s atmosphere in this state [1,2]. Rising levels of CO2, a greenhouse gas, are a major environmental problem [3]. The main source of CO2emissions is the burning of fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal. The combustion of these fossil fuels, such as natural gas, coal, and oil, is one of the major emission sources of CO2[4].
