ABSTRACT

This study aims to suggest measures to improve crisis management manager's work satisfaction and ability. Firstly, most of crisis management managers are in their 40s and their work experience is relatively short on average, 2 years and 8 months compared to their tenure of office. Crisis management managers's work satisfaction is very low, and also they don't have a strong will to implement the work continuously. Although they make efforts to learn new knowledges and ways required to work, they evaluate negatively their knowledge and experience. Besides, it is indicated that they are vulnerable to carry out media relationship. This means that specialization for crisis management education is urgent. Crisis management managers say that they need education and will participate in it. However the education is actually generalized, and theoretical lecture is repeated each year. Also there are inherent problems such as lack of education's speciality and diversity, a short period of education support and limited educational institutions, so it should be improved. Secondly, managers think that crisis management work is important, but they evaluate that status within an organization and degree of understanding is very low. Therefore it is proposed that mind and experts for crisis management should be reinforced within the whole organization in order to implement desirable crisis management work. Work planning and personal ability also should be strengthened. From the perspective of correlation, all of the necessary items show us relativeness. What is the most important is a budget. To conduct crisis management work, if the budget is secured, experts could be made up, work planning and personal ability could be advanced, manual improvement and simulation could be active, cooperation between departments and crisis management mind within the whole organization could be strengthened.
