AB - Police assigned for special guard has played a key role in managing the national significant facilities’ security after “Police Assigned for Special Guard Act” was legislated in 1962. But it seems that the obscure area and concept of police assigned for special guard makes national significant facilities’ security critical due to introducing the special security business system. It is necessary that the specialized task of police assigned for special guard should be fixed by articles of Act to be distinguished from that of the general security personnel in addition to the suitable performance for the special guarding duty. And the official authority and its limit of the police assigned for special guard should be proposed to polysynthetically manage the special guard system divided into special security business and police assigned for special guard. Therefore, “Police Assigned for Special Guard Act” should be revised with the official authority and its limit of the police assigned for special guard, recruitment and training, and relationship between the police assigned for special guard and the special security business.
