ABSTRACT

This study was to investigate the relationship between perceived parenting behavior and codependency in ACOAs of university students in order to seek the intervention methods to solve the codependency of ACOA. To do so, total 299 subjects from students of Dept. of Social Welfare of Universities located in the East Province of Gangwon-do were surveyed. The results of this study were followings. First, the subjects of ACOA were 91(30.43%). Second, there was no significant difference on sex between perceived parenting behavior and codependency. Third, codepencecy was affected by father's Inconsistency, Intrusiveness, Neglect and mother's Neglect. Fourth, sub-factors of codependency had the relationship with perceived parenting behavior and each sub-factor of codependency was influenced by different factors of perceived parenting behavior. Based on the results, the researcher discussed some differentiated intervention methods and gave some suggestions for further studies.
