AB - The purpose of this study was to examine how integrated health promotion programs at public health centers affected the quality of life of elderly and middle-aged women in Jeungpyeong-gun in Korea. Unlike the existing studies, this study classified the operational aspects of health promotion programs into the four factors (facility, administration/operation, manpower and program), and analyzed how each of these factors influenced the outcomes of health promotion programs. In addition, this study explored the effects of health promotion programs on the quality of life and compared them between the public and private institutions. The eventual goal of this study was to provide the basic information which would be needed for the theoretical and practical development of health promotion programs in rural areas.
