AB - The purpose of this study is to build up the integrated dementia management system in accordance with the implementation of the national responsibility system for dementia in Korea. In September 2017, the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Korea declared the ‘national responsibility system for dementia’ and organized the national dementia R&D committee in order to get over dementia. In 1995, WHO and the Alzheimer's Disease International(ADI) institutionalized September 21st as the World’s Alzheimer’s Day, and WHO adopted the worldwide action plan to cope with the seriousness of dementia in May 2017. Regarding dementia services in Korea, long-term care service has been extended since 2014. Following the dementia policy in advanced countries, the region-oriented and dwelling-based integrated care system should be developed to provide desirable dementia services. Therefore, this study suggests ways to build up the integrated case management delivery system which can be used asa model for integrating long-term senior care system and senior care services into a region-oriented service within the national responsibility system for dementia in Korea.
