A new era of participation explosion of direct actions led by individuals such as Gap-jil, Mee-Too, whistle-blowing is becoming 'revolutionary' in that participating individuals are attempting to change the state, market and civil society. The current trend of 'individuals changing the world', if strong and sustainable enough to be irreversable, might bring a paradigm shift of democratization : from politics to everyday life. This study is aimed to analyze the current trend of individualization and democratization of everyday life in terms of major background factors, by taking examples of Gap-jil, MeeToo, whistle-blowing movements in Korea. The 2016-17 'Candle-light Revolution' is seen by many researchers as the major factor of the current revolutionary change in everyday life in particular. The democratization of everyday life is, however, a multi-factor phenomenon and its explanation should be based on a holistic approach. The literature review suggests a definition of 'democratization of everyday life' as "a process by which individuals raise questions of unfair, immoral, violent experiences, communicate with others to make an issue, and suggest resolutions or improvements by participating in direct actions." This study focuses attention on the analysis of such factors as national development, IT revolution, Candle-light Revolution, direct actions, individual values change. To suggest a conclusion, it is uncertain that the current trend of Gap-jil and MeToo movement by individuals would overcome the huddles of both the traditional value of 'respect for authority' and deeply rooted individual values of survival over self-expression such as Gap-jil or Metoo.

The purpose of this study is to conceptualize ‘Digital Nomad’ who has become an active participant in a policy-making process as opposed to staying merely as a passive policy consumer. Digital Nomad refers to various existence that enjoys a fluid life by using digital equipment or network. Instead of rejecting the viewpoint of technological advancement and emergence of digital nomad which emphasizes its quantitative accomplishments and performative improvements, this paper explores digital nomad’s living environment, characteristics and their socialization process in a firm belief that the embracement of other perspectives will complement the existing one. The value of digital nomad strongly appears in its connectivity, mobility, commonality and information provisions. Some of the ways to implement this technology are the spread of convergent contents, mass communication, personal expression and swift network-connectivity that involves loosely arranged double-cohorts and clouds. Therefore, the digital-society revolution contributes to a better participation of ordinary people, and more participation in various areas through the maker movement helps develop better problem-solving mechanisms. Despite the new entity and more voluntary-participation opportunities in the advent of new technology, some resistance from inside and outside during the transition still remains to be resolved. Some restrictions that make this challenge more difficult to solve are biases of value(or belief), non-face-to-face communication and a need for a highly organic platform structure.

In this article, I will examine the ecological crisis and ecological transition of the region, focusing on the local policy of the government. The local policy is based on the national land policy and the environmental policy. The geographical reality of the region is being variously understood and transformed by various regional policies. The relationship and structure of these regional policies have a key meaning in the development of the region. From this point of view, we will look at the ecological crisis and transition of the region and look at alternatives presented in the Common Resources Research and propose the policy issues. The study of Elinor Oström revealed that the community can be well protected and maintained by itself. By this she has shown that the community can keep the nature around it, that is, the community, rather than the enterprise and the government, can be an important subject to preserve nature. But the limits of the community are also clear. In this respect, we must pay attention not only to the ‘design principles’ of the community, but also to the ‘multiple levels’ in which it lies. Moreover, where there is a problem of the developmental state like Korea, reform of the developmental state is an important condition for the activation of the community.
