ABSTRACT

This article seeks ways to prevent the intensification of global inequality and the Earth destruction by neoliberal economic policies and growth strategy of natural destruction. It describes the inequality, injustice, and unreasonable reality in the city, a symbol of modernity and capitalism, and examines the ‘commons movement’ and ‘politics of empathy’ as directions to solve this. It is to combine the ‘commons movement’ aimed at an alternative society and the expansion of human nature's empathy, to form a new society where the nation and society pursue happiness. The ‘commons movement’ is to recapture space by creating a new autonomous community in the homeland of the state and capital. ‘politics of empathy’ is to exclude the extreme politics of conflict and struggle, to build a majority voter for politics for the weak, and to pioneer the path of democracy through human empathy to escape the crisis of democracy.
