ABSTRACT

This study analyzes the hybridization and organizational innovation processes of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) through the case of the Korea YWCA's 'Local Friendly' project, exploring the effectiveness of hybrid organizational models in promoting sustainable development within communities. The research particularly focuses on developing and implementing new models of youth activities that respond to the social and economic challenges faced by young people, enabling them to drive social change. The 'Local Friendly' project presents practical methodologies that empower young activists to pursue economic independence and social value creation simultaneously, thereby fostering social entrepreneurship and organizational innovation. This study highlights how the project overcomes the limitations of traditional NGO activities, opening new possibilities for youth engagement and collaboration between the community and NGOs to create social value. It also provides insights into how cooperation between NGOs and communities can promote economic sustainability and social value creation simultaneously. The research concludes that the new structural paradigm proposed by the 'Local Friendly' project makes a significant contribution to NGO organizational innovation and the search for new directions in youth activities, anticipating that this approach will offer important implications for further case studies and policy development.
