AB - 对联的形式方面的要求对实际的内容都在某种程度上产生着规定和约束，对联可以说是一种非常重视形式要求的文学体裁。它虽是文学的一个分支，但又具有独立于内容之外的、只要满足了形式要求就可以构成一个作品的独特空间。从这个角度来说，对联有生以来就具有成为按照规定的形式来填字的文字游戏的可能性。由于对联重视形式、强调技巧，因此对联的创作重视脑筋转动的机智灵敏和丰富的学识。考虑到对联的游戏的属性，对联正适合成为诗文素养丰富的传统时代知识人的游戏手段。知识人既可以通过对联显示自己丰富的学识和头脑的机灵，又可以运用为两个人的游戏来达到智慧型的快感。有时候对联还被活用为讽刺和诙谐的工具。因为一般人很难做到这些事，对联也就成为了知识人在普通民众面前炫耀优越性的手段。对联具有诸多游戏因素的特性，这成为长久以来对联没有得到正统文学体裁的认同的主要原因。但是对联中其他文学体裁不能够表现出来的、构成独特的艺术境界的作品也不少，从这一点来说，作为文学的一种体裁、或者作为艺术的一个分支，对联的地位都是毫无疑问的。对联不仅是具有中国特性的体裁，而且通过它的属性，可以发掘出中国知识人和中国文化的特性的部分。综上所述，无论从文学的角度来看，还是从文化的角度来看，对联都分明是具有很高的研究价值的体裁。
