ABSTRACT

There are abundant quantifiers in modern Chinese, but the development of quantifiers has gone through a long period, and the quantitative structure in Chinese has developed from the earliest “Noun + Numeral” and “Numeral + Noun” structures to the most commonly used “Numeral + Quantifier + Noun” structures, during which the development and change process is worth studying. This paper sorts out the quantifiers before maturity, clarifies the development and change of quantifiers and the influence of different categories of quantifiers on the difference of quantifiers in the “Numeral + Quantifier + Noun” structure, and studies the development and differentiation of the quantitative structure in order to have a deeper understanding of the quantitative structure.
