ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to investigate the cultural conflict between Chinese and Mongolian in the ghost plays of the Yuan Dynasty. Among them, paid attention to a Shennuer神奴兒, which deals with the crack of patriarchy and the loss of humanity through incident accidents that occur at home and in society. Through this, it is intended to clarify the social critical value inherent in ghost plays, and at the same time, to use it as an opportunity to enhance the value of ghost plays that were somewhat excluded from the existing drama research. This study is part of a work to examine the substance of the fear inherent in 15 kinds of ghost plays in the Yuan Dynasty. The author of the work is unknown, and the creation period is estimated to be in the late Yuan Dynasty. The background of the work is Song Dynasty, but it can be said to be a work that fundamentally satirizes society. This work is a family drama that exposes the problems existing in the family at the time in that it is set in the family, and this family is the most fundamental basis of society, so it is also a social drama that shows the problems of society at the time.
