ABSTRACT

This article has reviewed the divided positions of Gwanghwamun Rally(2019.3.1/2020.2.22) and Seocho-dong Rally(2019.2.28) in the perspective of agency theology. It is wrong that newspaper reporters and TV reporters mislead the public opinion judging their actions on the basis of partisanship. A rational analytical method is needed for a more mature civil society and a healthy square culture. The philosophical agency theory can objectify the subjective individual civilian activities in the re-modernities paradigm. Through such objectification, the doer can carry out self-reflective contemplations and thus actions that are more mature. Public viewers also can be rid of interpreted partisan ideologies and see these square rallies in an ethical and rational way. This article presents the agency theology as: a theology of connection that facilitate the establishment of civil consciousness; an action theology that distinguishes the right action from wrong; and an apostolic theology that allow for the judgement of such action.
