ABSTRACT

The study summarized the discussion on teaching methods associated with the writing ‘self’, the purpose of seeing placed to find the meaning of each study. Writing research on teaching methods related to the ‘self’ is ‘self-exploratory writing’, ‘self- introduction writing’, and can be divided into a mixture of both forms of writing. Research related to the first ‘self-exploratory writing’ are formed with the purpose of the values and identity of the most established writing. And various studies have been conducted on specific activities ranging from educational theory to realize educational goals. However, the level of learners or circumstances, training one ‘cause interest’ theory overlooked focused only on teaching methods is the point sought to be avoided. Next, if the ‘self-introduction writing’ is commonly recognized as a practical writing a personal statement and letter writing is a process rather than an objective approach and leave the center. Research in this area tend to be tinged by previous studies that have nested there are a multitude of studies to guarantee a productive outcome. Recently, after another study that attempts to connection the ‘self-exploratory writing’ and ‘self-introduction writing’ that they know themselves through discovery and introspection seek their own future, and has a premise that writing can also inform themselves. Study in writing regarding the recent several years ‘self- exploration’ were seen as relatively large scale. Every aspect of the problem, but of course they study, greater implications for teacher education are in writing. The accumulated research and teaching environment conditions, level and interests of learners, major, teacher training and how they seek to expand the range of choices as well have given that can be used as a systematic and effective training considering how seriously to reflect on and provide a number of places. Furthermore, a systematic theory and methodology of self-exploratory writing education at the university writing is meaningful in that it suggests the possibility that could be built.
