ABSTRACT

The post-human era after humanism influences human lives scientifically and technologically. In this case, science and technology will be positioned at the center of human life, and furthermore, liberal arts education will also be affected by the scientific and technological worldview. Also, we have to answer the question of how living conditions changed will influence on the liberal arts and liberal arts education and what kind of changes liberal arts education should prepare for the mankind. In order to find out one example of such a change in this time, this paper examines two perspectives of the so-called posthuman era: transhumanism and posthumanism. Different perspectives can explain the meaning of liberal education and the latent danger of technology imprinted in human lives. These considerations will not separate post-humanity from humanities but re-examine the meaning of liberal arts, understanding what kind conditions changed in human lives.
