ABSTRACT

The key to Chinese character education is improving communication skills. Chinese character education in universities should be shifted to understanding the Chinese character cultural sphere and improving communication skills from a modern rather than traditional perspective. Cooperative learning can be used to strengthen communication skills. However, with long-term online classes resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19, students' concerns about infectious disease have become a part of life, and it is not easy to conduct cooperative learning face-to-face. Therefore, this study designed a cooperative learning model that can be operated online based on the types of cooperative learning, key elements, progress method, progress period, and the use of edutech. This paper introduces an actual case of using it in Chinese character classes in universities. This study is meaningful in that it is an online cooperative learning model that can be harnessed in Chinese character liberal arts classes.
