ABSTRACT

The phrase, "What the COVID-19 virus has changed is not a trend, but a speed," represents our educational reality, which is lagging behind the changes of the times. We are already entering the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This era is one where everything is interconnected. At the same time, everything is digitalized. Therefore, cultivating convergent competence and linking all values is urgent in education. The educational environment is also changing from analog to digital, and the ultra-digital educational environment is accelerating. After COVID-19, our society went beyond the era of uncertainty and entered the era of hyper-uncertainty. This article aims to predict the qualities and capabilities desperately required in the era of hyper-uncertainty based on the process of changing the science and technology paradigm. According to R. Kitchin's article, we face the fourth paradigm of science and technology with big data technology. Therefore, the presenter proposes an ideal educational method for convergent thinking competency and the direction of convergent general education.
