ABSTRACT

This study aims to propose a concrete instructional model by examining the necessity of integrated healing-oriented writing in university writing education. To this end, the paper first moves beyond instructional approaches that separately teach healing writing and critical writing and proposes an integrated healing-oriented writing model that combines these two modes of writing. Second, using Crying in H Mart as an example of an essay-based book review, this study presents an instructional model that integrates self-narrative writing with book review writing. Through this approach, the study examines the possibility of integrating logical writing with healing-oriented writing and explores the educational significance of such integration. In addition to Crying in H Mart, various literary works may be employed to develop new instructional models for university writing education. This proposal is significant in that it does not constitute a partial or isolated curricular attempt but rather represents one aspect of the gradual transformation of university writing education, thereby indicating the need for further related studies.
