AB - In the past, evaluations of the Sambyeolcho and their uprising were closely linked to concepts such as resistance to invasion or military spirit. However, at the present time, when research and understanding of the Goryeo-Mongol Wars, Goryeo-Mongol relations, and the military regime have advanced significantly compared to the past, such perceptions and evaluations have changed considerably. While the current 2022 high school "Korean History" curriculum reflects these developments to some extent, limitations also exist. In this regard, a comprehensive analysis of relevant descriptions in current textbooks suggests that, within the realm of university liberal arts education, it is necessary to prioritize the reinforcement of factual accuracy and the clarification of various concepts used interchangeably across different textbooks; this, it is judged, can lead to the next stage of learning and understanding.
