ABSTRACT

As technology develops, the future battlefield will become more ambiguous and various means of warfare will be integrated and operated. The importance of the Korean Peninsula, located between powerful countries such as China, Russia, and Japan, is increasing, and there is a high possibility that it will be used as a stage for a new war. Recently, China is viewed as a new threat to the Korean Peninsula due to its policies such as the ‘Chinese Dream’ and ‘One Belt, One Road’ and its military increase. In this paper, we looked at hybrid warfare, which is a changed aspect of warfare, and analyzed China’s hybrid warfare, ‘Unrestricted Warfare’ and ‘Three Warfares’, which posed a great threat to us. In addition, we predicted China’s hybrid warfare on the Korean Peninsula and proposed a countering strategy for China’s hybrid warfare based on the MCDC (Multinational Capability Development Experiment)’s countering hybrid warfare project.
