AB - Today's 21st century is on the cusp of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and at its core lies artificial intelligence technology, or more specifically, generative AI technology. In response, many domestic and international scholars have devised various social and ethical regulations as a countermeasure to AI technology, but this paper suggests that a proper understanding of the nature of AI technology itself should be based on such a series of works. To this end, I will show that Heidegger's views on the philosophy of technology, especially the core thesis of his later writings, 『Die Technik und die Kehre』, are not limited to the technology of Heidegger's time, but are also valid for the rapidly developing artificial intelligence technology of today, and conclude the paper by stating the attitude that modern people should take in the face of technology within that framework.
