ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to look at research trends in Daoist ethics in Japan and Korea and to forecast future research through this. To this end, it traced the process of establishing Daoist ethics as a normative science in Japan through the introduction of Western ethics and the establishment of Eastern ethics, and examined how this influenced the basic perception of Daoist ethics in Japan and Korea. In addition, it looked at the current research trends in Daoist ethics in Japan and Korea, and based on this, it suggested some directions for future research on Daoist ethics.
