ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to provide visual wind resource information from WRF model and support renewable energy(RE) use. Multi-dimensional WRF model was visualized by wind barb design. Graphics and colors for wind barb are defined and times were serialized. Three WRF model web DB conversion algorithms were compared for system efficiency and finally optimized web DB (KML) was integrated with other geo-spatial DB by mesh-up with Google Earth. Microsoft .NET was used for wind barb design and Google Earth v.4.3 was used for mesh-up and RE application. This study will help not only RE use but also reliable decision making in urban/land activities.
