AB - The geographical names are getting important, but the management agencies in Korean government are separated into NGII and KHOA. Errors and inappropriate expressions of geographic names are spreading out in the internet. Current status of internet maps including geographic names is reviewed and the main sources of errors are found. The roles for the management of geographical names in each organization are suggested.
The strategies to fixing errors in geographical names are suggested with the list of action plans.
