AB - Objectives :
In recent years, most research has focused on anti-aging and the extension of human life. The prevalence of obesity at all ages is becoming an epidemic around the world. Recent research has shown a positive effect on anti-aging, obesity.
Methods :
To identify the antioxidant effect, there were four independent experiments were carried out. They were DPPH radical scavenging activity, Nitric oxide(NO) radical activity, Superoxide anion radical scavenging activity and using Bovine serum albumin(BSA).
One independent experiment was conducted to identify the candidate gene responsible for the gene expression profile of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes by Oligonucleotide chip microarray.
Results and Conclusions :
1. The results showed that the ability of DPPH radical's elimination was increased by the rising concentration of Mori Fructus. When the concentration of Mori Fructus was 2.5 mg/ml, the ability of the DPPH radical's elimination was at a maximum.
2. The ability of the NO radical's elimination was maximum when the concentration of Mori Fructus was 5 mg/ml.
3. The ability of Superoxide anion radical's elimination was maximum when the concentration of Mori Fructus was 0.3125 mg/ml.
4. Antioxidative effects with BSA increased by the rising concentration of Mori Fructus.
5. Eleven kinds of gene(C3, Npy1r, Sort1, Agrp, Mod1, Cebpa, Hmox1, Hspb2, G6pd2, Tgfb1, Cebpb) expression increased and two(Ghr, Pik3r1) decreased when Mori Fructus extract was added.
So I guess that Mori Fructus has effects of antioxidation, anti-obesity, etc.
