AB - Objectives :
This study was performed to investigate the efficiency of Chongbaek-san(Congbai-san) on the Weight changes and the histological changes in Peri-Epididymal Fat, the biochemical changes of blood serum in obese rats induced by high fat diet.
Methods and Materials :
Experiment animals were divided into 3 groups; normal group(normal diet, non-treated), obese group(high fat diet, non-treated) and Chongbaek-san(Congbai-san) oral feeding obese group(high fat diet, treated).
Results :
Chongbaek-san(Congbai-san) was investigated effects of Total Body Weight, serum Glucose and Insulin content, Total Cholesterol and Triglyceride, HDL-Cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol content, Total Lipid and free fatty Acid content, Leptin and Uric Acid, SGOT, SGPT content, the histological changes in Peri-Epididymal in animal test. However there was no significant difference in Insulin and HDL-cholesterol.
Conclusions :
These results indicates that Chongbaek-san(Congbai-san) showed the treatment effects on the obesity resulted from high fat diet in rats.
