AB - With the enactment of the “Public Records Management Act” in 1999 and its revision in 2020, a records management system was established in the domestic public institutions. However, as the focus is on the management of public records, there are difficulties in managing the historical records of the university archives controlled by the nonelectronic records management system. To overcome these difficulties, this study looked at the case of Pusan ​​National University Archives, which attempted to improve the function of the nonelectronic records management system using the “University Innovation Support Project.” In particular, it is a case in which the function of the nonelectronic records management system was improved, catalogs reflecting the characteristics of resources were produced, and then the shelves were organized. It is hoped that the improvement of the nonelectronic records management system in Busan National University Archives will provide a positive direction for related organizations facing similar difficulties in the future.
