ABSTRACT

This study investigates how innovation attributes of imported electric vehicles affect consumers’ adoption and purchase intentions based on Innovation Diffusion Theory. Using survey data from 424 potential buyers in Korea and applying PLS-SEM, the results show that relative advantage, compatibility, and observability significantly enhance adoption intention, while complexity and trialability are not significant. Adoption intention strongly predicts purchase intention, with driving range and income level strengthening this relationship and battery safety weakening it. Government subsidies show no moderating effect.
