AB - 本研究は、学習者の主体的学びを支援するための日本語教育という大きな課題に近づくための第一歩として、現状の初級日本語教育を主体的学びという新たな言語教育観の視座から捉えなおしたものである。本論では、主体的学びの視座として、教育内容、教育方法、教育関係という3つの教育的要素を設けて初級日本語クラスを分析することによって、主体的学びの視座から捉える初級日本語クラスの特徴を明らかにすることを目的とする。主体的学びの視座から捉える初級日本語クラスの特徴は次のようにまとめられる。まず、初級日本語クラスでは、語彙、文型·文法といった言語要素を教えることが教育の目標となっている<言語要素の目的化>という特徴がみられた。次に、教えるべき教育内容がすでに定められている教室ではどのような教育方法が取られるかについて調べたところ、「形式·意味の伝授」「正確さのための練習」に重点が置かれるという教師主導の一斉授業であることがわかった。本研究ではこのような特徴を<教育方法の固定化>と呼んでいる。最後に、学びの場である教室における教師と学習者との関係性を調べた結果、言語要素の目的化、教育方法の固定化がみられる教室では、常に、教師から学習者に知識を与えるという固定化した教育関係がみられた。このような研究成果は、現状の初級日本語教育を新たな言語教育観の視座から捉えるものであり、今後、韓国高等教育機関において主体的学びを実践していくための土台的研究をめざす。
