Aims and Scope

This journal is the only journal in Korea that uses the word 'social policy'. As the journal was founded in 1993, and published in 1994, this journal has helped social science researchers, including social welfare, sociology, political science, economics, administration, and health policy to find reasonable alternatives and establish social policy theory that Korean society needs.
Recently, a number of social problems such as economic crisis, job insecurity, and polarization have emerged in various and complex ways in Korean society, and finding social policy alternatives to solve them has become a more important task. Therefore, the role and responsibility of the academy and academic journals to address these complex and overlapping social risks will be greater. In addition to being the venue for interdisciplinary research in social science, this journal contains a variety of papers adopting quantitative and qualitative methodologies and micro and macro approaches.
