ABSTRACT

This study is to find out what is the transcription strategy for maximizing the dramatic effect with priority given to the monodrama of Oh Tae-seok and to inquire what are the embodied appearances through the strategy. The various literary styles described by one person are contributed to swift scene change rather than the functions for wearing many hats of one person. The traditional constitutions connecting poems and songs after story introduce the rhythmic sense of the verse and metaphorical sympathy, narrow the gap of stage and seats, and result in the effect of absorption and accord, memory and regeneration. Moreover one person wags one's tongue as if he got the command of informations and events entirely, with these flamboyant garrulity, the character projected and solved the restrained ontological emotion(desire). In Oh Tae-seok's monodramas, short events in Othello, SimChungJeon(biography) DanjongPaeWee(dethronement),etc are appearing frequently, it is indicated that depaysement technique combining identical short events with entirely different description has expanded the stage. Herewith, the embodied world in the monologues of Oh Tae-seok suggested that the modern times character pursuing the ontological value cried sorrowfully, frustrated, got ridiculed, and kept restricted of his desire since he awoke to the realities of life with hindsight in relation-centered world or was not adapted to.
