This paper focused on the identification of Mother and Theatre, especially in surveying the play <Like the flowers in the winter solstice(동지섣달 꽃 본 듯이)>. How we can understand the meaning of the equation of Mother and Theatre? How the dramaturgy affected the accumulation of this meanings?This play has been constituted by 'the rule of the three'. Three persons, three tests were given in it. The first son became the prime minister, the second became high rank priest. But they could not find true mother despite of their efforts and masculine successes. They had experienced many difficulties and overcome them, but rarely learn the meaning of love. Only the third son could have reached his destination owing to his love for woman and theatre. His stage that the play shows through life correspond to the archetypal stages of human development. His life from birth to rebirth correspond to the process of the theatre.
