AB - This paper deals with Dongailbo Drama Concours that held in the late 1930s. Its concours is important that tried to theater renovate of the Korean modern drama except popular drama like Dongyanggeukjang and concentrated all those theater people after the Chinese-Japanese War. First of all, it showed important of language as national identity that was different with colonial language policy. Moreover, it was for making a suggestion the new form of modern drama that aroused structured environment in the political dark ages. Theatrical people discussed and drew conclusion which direction of Korean modern drama from the concours. Therefore, the concours was the scene of the last struggle against Japanese colonial rule and policy.
