ABSTRACT

So far, in the academic world, there hasn't been a serious study about the beauty of the Hueng Duck Sa Bon Jik Ji calligraphy. This thesis is to prove the value and meaning of this calligraphy when compared to other Jik Ji masterpieces, like the Jik Ji written in the "squared style" which has already been proven in history, in order to establish the Hueng Duck Sa Bon Jik Ji calligraphy's place in calligraphy history, and to prove that the Hueng Duck Sa Bon Jik Ji is worth studying based on it's traditional introduction. This thesis is trying to find out that the change in the Jik Ji is not because of the author's immaturity but because of his intention to succeed the history of calligraphy. And the goal of this thesis is to prove that the strange type writing found in the Hueng Duck Sa Bon Jik Ji can have an influence on the font of the future.
