ABSTRACT

This study analyzes the reproduction of Yeogkwa Bangmok by Yeogkwa Bo, by examining Yeogkwa Bangmok of Kyujanggak and Yeogbo of Cholli Library. First, of total 33 family names, 30 names were revived, showing the reproduction rate of 90.9%. Second, of total 98 family origins, 83 ones were revived, showing the reappearance rate of 84.6% . Third, of total 1,023 successful applicants listed in Yeogkwa, 675 ones were revived, showing 65.9% of reappearance rate. Fourth, there shows a quite high level of the reappearance rate among successful applicants by years of examination since the mid-19th century. It is expected that this study could help trace family names, family origins, successful applicants in Yeogkwa, and successful applicants in Yeogkwa by years of examination, which were recorded in Yeogkwa Bangmok, but missed from Yeogkwabo.
