ABSTRACT

Chang-lip Kim died young at the age of 18, and the publication of his posthumous scripts was carried by Hong Yu-in, Yu Myong-in, and Choi Dong-pyo, etc. It was proofread by Chang-hup Kim, his elder brother, and one year after his death published by bookstore movable types, and in 1700 again by Ungwan movable types. Such an occasion never happened in publishing anthologies in the Joseon Period. People who wrote a preface and prologues were very well-known writers during the period. Sigam Kim Sok-ju wrote a preface, and Mungok Kim Su-hang, Samyon Chang-hup Kim, Uam Song Si-yeol, Hogok Nam Yong-ik, and Seopo Kim Man-jung wrote prologues. In this article, the publication process of Taekjaeyuta and its preface and prologues are analyzed, and its structure and contents are investigated to specify its characteristics and significance.
