AB - This study investigated the method of bibliographical description of Haedong- munheon-chongnok, a classified annotated bibliography compiled by Kim Hyu in Joseon Dynasty. The bibliographical description was examined regarding title, volume number, written age, name of author, functional word of authorship, and noteworthy examples. It was a limitation that indicated the lack of unity and coherence in the bibliographical description of Haedong-munheon-chongnok. However, its great significance in the history of bibliographical description can be found in the fact that Kim Hyu established entries for annotated works based on his own methods of description.
